Titanic 2 to Set Sail in Both the Sea and the Theater

This past April 15th marked the 100th year anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. In commemoration of this historical event, Australian Billionaire (yes, Australia has billionaires) Clive Palmer has announced plans of building a modern version of the original Liner. The ship will be built with the exact same dimensions and design with updated technology on board. When asked about the number of life boats that would be on board he laughed and said " I want to keep it as faithful to the original as possible, so don't expect there to be enough life boats for everyone. But not to worry, the ship is going to be more unsinkable than the first one, I promise."...

Palmer went on to tell us what all can be expected on the ship. "There will be pools, libraries, high class restaurants, and even a movie screen that will play the film Titanic on a continuous loop, with the whole crashing and sinking part omitted of course." 

The Titanic 2 is planned to set sail from England to New York in late 2016.

However, the real story here is what director James Cameron (director of Titanic) had to say in response to this news. " I am super excited that Mr. Palmer is building another Titanic! I would be an idiot if I didn't milk this soon to be birthed cash cow. I already had a screenplay for a sequel to Titanic, but I have been waiting for the right time to begin work on the film. With the announcement of another Titanic I feel that time is now. I will now be putting the Avatar films on the back burner and beginning work on 'Titanic 2: Sink This'."

Cameron explained that the plot will center on the great grand daughter of Rose (played by Kate Winslet) whose name is Tulip (who will also be played by Kate Winslet). She is invited to come aboard the Titanic 2 for free. She is apprehensive at first, but on finding out that her boyfriend, John, is going on the ship with his parents, she decides to go too. Little does she know that history will repeat itself as a group of Icebergs plot to attack the Liner.

Cameron tells us he plans to release two versions of the movie. "The movie will have a subsequent release after the real ship sets sail, that will be somewhat faithful to the actual voyage with the addition of Icebergs attacking the ship. The other film will be released before the Titanic 2 sets sail and will predict what may happen on the actual ship. This one will also have killer Icebergs. The film releasing after the real voyage will only be as interesting as that of the actual voyage. So I'm really hoping for another freak accident."

Titanic 2: Sink This is set for a summer 2015 release. Titanic 2: Sink This Redux is set for a summer 2017 release.
